Teaching Assistant Salary: Grade 4 (£26,847 - £27,071 Pro Rata of FTE) Permanent 32.5 hours per week/39 weeks per year. To Start November 2026 Post Reference: ED50223595 The Headteacher and Governing Body of Rhydypenau Primary School are looking to appoint a dynamic, strong, innovative and inspirational teaching assistant to work within our primary school supporting teaching and learning throughout the school. Duties will include: Working with small groups of children, both indoors and outdoors, to support their learning Establishing good relationships with pupils Acting as a role model and being aware of and responding appropriately to individual needs Attending to pupils’ personal needs Supervising and supporting pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning Assisting with the preparation of teaching materials and resources Assisting with the display of children’s work. Supporting teachers by undertaking a range of tasks including photocopying, laminating, filing. We are looking for someone who is : Caring and compassionate. Hardworking and resilient. Previous experience of working within a school is essential. Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
