Personal Care Assisant - Primary SEND School - Band 2

As our school continues to grow, we are looking to appoint a caring, reliable and committed Personal Care Assistant to join our Ashdale (Ashington) team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will provide personal and intimate care, including nappy changing, for a range of children with additional needs. This role is not classroom based; however, you will work closely with teaching and support staff to ensure children’s dignity, comfort, wellbeing and safety are maintained at all times. The Role Supporting children with intimate and personal care needs, including nappy changing Promoting children’s dignity, independence and wellbeing Working with children across Early Years and Key Stage 1 with Social and Communication needs Following individual care plans, health and safety procedures, and safeguarding guidance Liaising effectively with staff and contributing to a supportive team environment Experience of working with young children and/or children with additional needs is desirable. A good understanding of child development and a calm, compassionate approach are essential.
