We’re looking for a reliable, detail-focused Cleaning Supervisor to join our team in a nursery/childcare setting . As a Cleaning Supervisor in a nursery setting, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for children, staff and families. You’ll be shown the cleaning specification, site procedures and safeguarding expectations during your first week. Your responsibilities will include: Supervising and supporting cleaning operatives Ensuring all cleaning is completed to the highest standards Completing general tasks such as wiping, mopping, hoovering and dusting Following site-specific cleaning schedules and audit processes Leading by example in maintaining Health & Safety standards Replenishing consumables (paper towels, soap, bin liners, etc.) Reporting any issues promptly to support clear communication Respecting site rules including mobile phone, access and key-holding procedures Providing excellent customer care across different shift hours Working within a team that goes the extra mile Important Safeguarding Requirement Because this role is based in a childcare environment, safeguarding is essential. Before starting work on site: You will be introduced to the nursery manager , and You must present your original Enhanced DBS certificate (Child Workforce) and photographic ID . This introduction must take place before your first shift. It is ideal if you already hold a valid Enhanced DBS dated within the last 3 years. However, Atlas will apply for a new Enhanced DBS check when you start. About You If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you! Friendly, trustworthy and professional Strong attention to detail and pride in your work Supervisory experience or the confidence to lead a small team Able to follow safeguarding requirements and site rules A valid Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) dated within the last 3 years or willingness to complete one Confident with basic spoken English for safety and communication Good social skills and a positive attitude Able to carry out the physical aspects of the role We welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates; however, please be aware that we are unable to sponsor work visas.
