What you need to know
Hours: 35 hours per week.
Both the permanent and fixed-term roles are full-time, working on a shift rotation over 7 days. This includes early starts, evening finishes and weekends, between 5.30am and 10.30pm.
Examples of shifts include:
30am-2.30pm
00pm- 10.30pm
Saturday 7.00am – 4.00pm
Sunday 7.00 am- 4.00pm and 12.00pm – 8.00pm
Start and finishing times of shifts may vary from venue to venue.

City-wide, with your main base discussed at interview.
What you’ll do
As a Gym Instructor, you’ll be part of an established Health & Fitness team, reporting to the Health & Fitness Co-ordinator. You’ll play an essential role in each member’s fitness journey, providing a variety of fitness programmes and delivering a range of fitness activities to suit everyone. You will be involved in promoting health and fitness at local and citywide events. You will gather gym user information and oversee the general safety and behaviour of customers to help prevent injury, misuse and damage to facilities and equipment. The safety of our customers and staff is paramount, so you will follow industry and government guidelines and protocols to provide a safe environment, helping with the preparation and cleaning of the facility and maintenance of equipment. To ensure Glasgow Club can deliver the best experience to its customers, you will need to be flexible, adaptable to change and open to delivering new activities.

We’re looking for:
Level 2/3 Health and Fitness Qualification in Gym, Exercise and Fitness Knowledge
Good interpersonal skills to engage and motivate members
Fitness Coaching qualifications in group fitness activities or the flexibility to learn new skills
The ability to work confidently with fitness programming software such as My Wellness
Previous gym experience
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme will be essential on taking up appointment.
