What you will be doing You will be on a development journey to guide your growth into the role of AGGP2027 – Graduate - Structures Additive Manufacturing Design Engineer and can expect to be involved in the following: The co-Design and Manufacture of current and future aircraft parts using Optimisation Driven Design methods, Design for Additive Manufacturing principles and state of the Additive Manufacturing machines. Example of typical tools / technologies learned: Optimisation: ToffeeAM, Ntopology, Altair Optistrut; Design: CATIA, 3DX; AM Build File: Magic You will have the opportunity to further expand your knowledge of co-Design for Additive Manufacture via on the job training. Typically the E2E process covers the Optimised Design of Structural components & Systems Equipment, Creation of a Build File for manufacture on in-house machines to the Post - Processing of the parts There is also potential to work on projects targeting process improvement using Data Analytics and AI such as an ongoing project trending data from the builds in order to characterize defects and inclusions aimed at an alternative means of inspection. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with many areas of the business, discover future concepts and develop strong relationships with aircraft programmes and design offices to identify opportunities for Additive Manufactured parts. Your development journey will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. At the end of the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of AGGP2027 – Graduate - Structures Additive Manufacturing Design Engineer What we look for To be a successful applicant to the Airbus Global Graduate Programme, you will need to demonstrate you have: A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study. Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering. Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English) A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
