๐ซ About Wixams Academy Wixams Academy is a thriving, comprehensive Academy serving approximately 950 pupils (as of September 2023), including 120 Sixth Form students ๐. Since opening its doors in 2017 with just 80 students ๐ฑ, the Academy has experienced remarkable growth and continues to expand each year. Our vision is to grow to 1,750 students and 200 staff members by 2030 ๐. To support this exciting development, we are working closely with Bedford Borough Council ๐๏ธ and the Department for Education ๐ to increase the school's capacity. โญ The Academy has been popular and oversubscribed since opening, reflecting the high regard in which it is held by students, families, and the wider community. We are also proud to have low staff turnover , creating a stable and supportive environment for both staff and students ๐ค. ๐ Located just one mile south of Bedford town centre , Wixams Academy serves a diverse and welcoming community with a broadly national demographic mix ๐. We have recently joined forces with Knowledge Schools Trust (KST) through a merger designed to create a strong local hub and drive further educational growth across the region ๐. About the Role As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) , you will play an important role within our Student Support Team ๐ฉโ๐ซ๐จโ๐ซ. You will help support and include students with learning difficulties and disabilities into mainstream classroom settings, ensuring they can access learning opportunities and achieve their full potential ๐.
