Synergy Personnel Ltd is currently recruiting 4 experienced Stone Fixers for a prestigious heritage restoration project in Oxford . This is an excellent opportunity to join a long-term project working on the restoration and repair of a historic building. Responsibilities Fixing and installing natural stone in accordance with drawings and specifications Carrying out stone repairs and replacements on heritage and listed buildings Removing damaged stonework and preparing surfaces for new installations Setting and bedding stone using traditional lime mortars and approved fixing methods Installing ashlar stone, copings, cills, lintels, quoins, and other architectural stone features Drilling, dowelling, pinning, and resin fixing stone where required Cutting, shaping, and finishing stone to achieve an accurate fit Pointing and making good using traditional lime mortars Working safely at height from scaffolding where required Maintaining a high standard of workmanship while preserving the historic character of the building Following conservation guidelines and site health and safety procedures Requirements Previous experience working on heritage or restoration projects is highly desirable Ability to read drawings and work accurately to specification Experience working with natural stone and traditional materials Own hand tools CSCS Card preferred but not essential Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team What We Offer Immediate start Long-term contract Competitive rates of pay Opportunity to work on a prestigious heritage restoration project Ongoing work for the right candidates If you're interested in this opportunity or would like further information, please attached your CV and one of our team will be in touch.
