Job Description

An established ventilation services contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Fire Damper / Air Hygiene Engineer to join its growing engineering team covering London and the surrounding areas. The role will involve a mix of fire damper testing, remedial works, kitchen extract cleaning and ventilation hygiene, working predominantly in two-man teams across a varied commercial client base. Candidates do not need to be experienced across every area, provided they have a strong background in either fire dampers or air hygiene and are willing to develop across the wider role. Requirements Experience within fire damper testing, air hygiene, TR19 cleaning or ventilation maintenance Fire damper remedial experience highly desirable, including damper replacement, ductwork alterations/replacement and actuator replacement Knowledge of BESA TR19 standards preferred Kitchen extract or ventilation cleaning experience advantageous Practical mechanical ability and confidence working with ductwork and ventilation systems Computer literate and comfortable completing reports Full UK Driving Licence BESA-accredited training advantageous Strong work ethic and willingness to work across both fire damper and cleaning disciplines Package 30,000 - 45,000 depending on experience 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday Saturday overtime paid at 1.5x Sunday overtime paid at 2x Additional payments for night work Company van available for Lead Engineers Tools provided Workplace pension Additional discretionary bonuses Occasional voluntary stay-away work available Interested in hearing more?
