You'll get to: Build relationships with colleagues across the business and support functions, learning how communications supports strategic priorities Work with journalists and media outlets by helping to pitch stories, coordinate interviews and respond to enquiries Assist with media events and other communications activities that promote UBS's expertise, people and initiatives Contribute ideas for proactive media opportunities and creative communications campaigns Support the development and execution of media strategies across a range of business areas, with a strong focus on Global Research Monitor media coverage and help prepare reports and insights for stakeholders across the business Learn from experienced communications professionals and collaborate with colleagues across the wider Corporate Communications team Gain exposure to a fast-paced news environment, helping to manage multiple priorities and deadlines Your team You'll be working in UBS's Investment Bank and UK Media Relations team, based in London. The team, which sits organizationally within the Group Corporate Communications function, is responsible for all media activities for the Investment Bank globally as well as across our UK businesses. We aim to drive and support accurate, timely and engaging communication, while acting as trusted advisors to business leaders. The culture of the team is friendly, professional and supportive. Your expertise We’re looking for a candidate who: Will graduate by February 2027 Strong interest in media, communications, financial markets and the investment industry An excellent communicator, able to explain complex ideas clearly and confidently to different audiences Demonstrates strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Proactive, enthusiastic and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment Able to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders Organised and able to manage multiple priorities while working to tight deadlines Strong attention to detail and a keen interest in current affairs and the news agenda Curious about how businesses engage with the media and protect and enhance their reputation Can demonstrate how the responsible use of AI and technology can improve efficiency and outcomes Not essential, but work experience in a press, communications or similar role would be welcomed can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency Your program This graduate programme offers an exciting opportunity to launch your career in communications and branding.
