Electrical Estimator

Our client is a leading M&E contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality building services projects across the commercial, industrial, healthcare, education and public sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join their team and support the successful delivery of a varied portfolio of M&E projects. The Role As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical building services projects. Working closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal delivery teams, you will play a key role in securing new business opportunities and ensuring projects are commercially viable from the outset. The successful candidate will have experience within the M&E sector and be comfortable interpreting technical specifications, undertaking take-offs and preparing detailed tender submissions for projects ranging from small works through to large-scale contracts. Typical Projects The successful candidate will be involved in pricing and tendering a wide range of mechanical and electrical building services projects, including: Commercial developments Industrial and manufacturing facilities Healthcare projects Educational facilities including schools, colleges and universities Retail and leisure developments Warehousing and distribution centres Local authority and public sector developments Refurbishment, fit-out and new-build projects Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and detailed electrical cost estimates and tender submissions for M&E building services projects. Review tender documentation, specifications, drawings and employer's requirements to establish project scope and pricing strategy. Undertake detailed take-offs and measurements from drawings and schedules. Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and specialist subcontractors.
