25 hours per week, term time only, permanent contract (plus 5 hours MDSA contract, J grade) Required: September 2026 Salary: NJC K scale The Governors and Head Teacher of Holy Rood Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who can join our dedicated and enthusiastic team of fabulous children and superb staff in a school graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted (May 2022). The successful candidate will: • Have a good general level of education, including Maths and English GCSE grade C or above, or further relevant experience in the absence of formal qualifications • Have at least 2 years’ experience working as a grade 2 TA or other relevant experience • NVQ level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent • Have 2 years’ experience of working within the Key Stage One/Key Stage 2 curriculum, supporting children with SEND, either through supervising and delivering catch up programmes to groups or individuals. • Have high expectations of all pupils’ achievements and behaviour, and a commitment to raising standards • Have the drive and motivation to create inspiring learning environments and engaging resources • Be confident and passionate about delivering quality first intervention programmes and strategies with small groups and be prepared to support colleagues with this if required • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to working as part of a team, being able to communicate effectively with colleagues and external agencies • Be organised and able to show initiative, reflecting on their own practice • Be motivated, with a good sense of humour and an eagerness to learn and develop professionally We can offer you: • A welcoming and diverse community with a commitment to a creative curriculum and making learning fun • The opportunity to work with an incredibly supportive, talented and committed team • A kind and nurturing environment in which all individuals are valued through our caring, Catholic ethos • High quality CPD to develop your career • Children with a real passion for learning with supportive parents Visits to the school to meet our children and staff are warmly welcomed.
