Job Description
A private family is seeking an experienced Housekeeper to take full professional responsibility for the day-to-day housekeeping of their family villa on Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. The property has 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, laundry, entrance and outdoor terraces. The family is planning to move to a larger villa within the same community next year. This is a professional housekeeping position suited to someone accustomed to working to a high private-residence, luxury-home or hotel standard. The household has young children and is busy, so discretion, efficiency and the ability to work independently are essential. Key Responsibilities Daily cleaning and upkeep of the entire villa, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living areas, laundry and service areas. Daily cleaning of the children's bedrooms and master bedroom while the family is out or as directed. Laundry and ironing, including careful handling of delicate and high-value garments. Professional care of fine textiles and wardrobes, including linen, wool, cashmere and expensive footwear. Maintaining wardrobes and storage areas to an excellent standard, with every item returned to its correct place. Maintaining high kitchen hygiene, with appliances and surfaces clean and ready for the family. Cleaning outdoor terraces, entrance areas and outdoor furniture. Identifying household issues such as leaks, broken appliances or missing supplies and taking appropriate action, including contacting and following up with contractors or suppliers. Monitoring household supplies and proactively flagging items that need replenishing. Working calmly and professionally alongside other household staff when required. Maintaining complete discretion and professionalism around the family and their children. The ideal candidate will be: Punctual, thorough, reliable and highly self-directed. Able to plan the working day independently and complete the house to a consistently high standard. Highly organized, with excellent attention to detail. Experienced in caring for valuable clothing, fabrics, furniture and household items. Proactive when problems arise and able to follow issues through to resolution. Discreet and respectful when working around a private family. Fluent in English and able to follow instructions accurately. Cooking Cooking experience is a strong advantage but not essential. A separate morning cook may still be employed. However, a candidate who can confidently prepare breakfast or simple family meals, and who can assist with household coordination, will be preferred and may be offered a salary towards the upper end of the range. Schedule The working day is concentrated in the morning so the villa is fully prepared before the children return from school. Typical hours: 07:00–15:00, 5 days per week. A 6-day working week can be considered if preferred by the candidate, with additional rest days agreed accordingly. Valid UAE visa already in place is strongly preferred. Sponsorshi
