5474 SOUTH KENSINGTON + travel: Professional, Rota Nanny (G2 years) | 7 days on/off | September start A warm, affectionate and internationally mobile family is seeking an exceptional Professional Rota Nanny to join their established London household on a long-term basis. The successful candidate will work a true seven-days-on/seven-days-off rota, generally from 7.30am–7.30pm during London working weeks. This is an employed position offering excellent structure, genuine time off and a highly competitive compensation package. The nanny will initially focus primarily on the family’s nearly two-year-old daughter, supporting her through an important period of development and transition. The family is also expecting a baby girl in late September, and specialist maternity support will be in place during the newborn stage. Over time, the rota nanny’s responsibilities will naturally evolve to support both children as part of a coordinated childcare team. The family is hands-on, warm and collaborative. They are looking for a nanny who can take confident professional ownership of the children’s care while working comfortably alongside involved parents, the counterpart rota nanny and a wider household team. Key responsibilities will include: ~ Providing warm, attentive and developmentally informed care. ~ Supporting routines around waking, meals, naps, bathing and bedtime. ~ Planning age-appropriate play, reading, classes, outings and outdoor activities. ~ Encouraging language, confidence, curiosity and independence. ~ Helping the older child adjust to becoming a big sister. ~ Organising the children’s clothing, equipment, medicines, changing bags and supplies. ~ Preparing thoroughly for international travel. ~ Maintaining familiar routines across homes, hotels and travel environments. ~ Working closely with maternity professionals during the newborn period. ~ Providing clear, concise and professional handovers. ~ Maintaining the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality. ~ This is a child-focused position and will not become a general housekeeping or personal-assistant role. The nanny will, however, take professional responsibility for the children’s immediate environments, belongings and practical needs. The ideal candidate will be: ~ Warm, calm and emotionally intelligent. ~ Highly experienced with toddlers. ~ Organised, proactive and dependable. ~ Comfortable working with involved parents. ~ An excellent communicator with strong handover skills. ~ Confident working as part of a wider household team. ~ Discreet, flexible and composed. ~ Experienced in international travel. ~ Excellent private-household nanny experience, strong references, paediatric first aid, UK working eligibility and the ability to travel internationally are essential. ~ Previous rota experience, Norland or comparable training and confidence driving in London would be advantageous.
