Catering Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a Catering Assistant to join our friendly and highly effective catering team at Eastfield Infant and Nursery School. The hours will be 11.20am -1.30pm Monday-Friday. The core purpose of this role is to provide effective support to the Catering Manager through assisting in preparing food to a high standard, serving food to staff and pupils and clearing away after service. We are seeking an individual who: Has the ability to maintain a high standard of general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and school regulations. Has the ability to assist with basic food preparation, simple cooking and serving meals safely. Has good interpersonal skills and will enjoy working with children and as part of a team. Experience of working in this field would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be given, including completion of the Level 2 Food Hygiene Certification.
