The role will be primarily based between the two local community diagnostic centres at Walton and Whitworth however successful candidates will be expected to also work within the main department at Chesterfield Royal Hospital when required. Main duties of the job This role includes performing pulmonary function tests (spirometry with airway reversibility study and gas transfer), setting up and downloading overnight sleep diagnostic equipment and dealing with patient queries regarding their CPAP usage/replacement of CPAP consumables. Person specification Qualifications Essential criteria 2 A levels in science subjects or equivalent Desirable criteria BLS ARTP certificate in spirometry Experience Essential criteria Has worked as a healthcare science assistant within a respiratory investigations department for a minimum of 2 years Knowledge of issues of working with confidential information and understanding of need for confidentiality Ability to work under remote supervision Desirable criteria Ability to perform Spirometry independently Experience of performing gas transfer Experience in setting up/downloading overnight sleep studies Experience of providing support to patients on CPAP Flexible Working If you're looking for flexible or predictable working arrangements, please speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate this.
