About the Role As a Building and Maintenance Officer, you will support the day-to-day running of campus buildings, helping to ensure they are safe, well maintained and ready to support teaching, learning and wider activity. Working as part of the wider Campus Operations team, you'll take a hands-on role in maintaining buildings and equipment, preparing spaces, and responding to day-to-day issues as they arise. You'll also act as a key point of contact on campus, working with colleagues, contractors and service teams to keep things running effectively. A key aspect of this role is supporting the Performing Arts faculty. Working closely with Academic and Production teams, you'll help maintain specialist teaching, rehearsal and performance spaces, ensuring facilities and technical equipment are safe, functional and ready to support learning activities, rehearsals and productions. What You'll Do: Support the day-to-day operation of campus buildings, including opening and closing in line with agreed procedures and security requirements. Prepare and maintain internal and external spaces so they are ready for teaching, learning and events. Monitor building presentation, identifying and resolving issues that affect the campus environment. Carry out routine checks of buildings and equipment, addressing issues or escalating where needed.
