EstimatorLarge Energy & Civil Engineering Contractor Location: Flexible/Hybrid Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance/Company Vehicle + Bonus + Benefits Overview An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Estimator to join a large and well-established energy and civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure, utilities, structural refurbishment and asset maintenance projects across the UK. Working within a collaborative pre-construction team, you will play a key role in the preparation of accurate and competitive tenders for a diverse range of projects. The role would suit an Estimator, Assistant Estimator, Construction Engineer, Quantity Surveyor or Civil Engineering professional seeking to develop their career within a growing and technically challenging sector. Key Responsibilities - Assess and review tender opportunities to determine suitability for bid submission. - Analyse drawings, specifications and tender documentation to establish project scope and requirements. - Prepare conceptual, budgetary and detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and energy infrastructure projects. - Undertake site visits to assess access constraints, construction methodology, risks and project-specific requirements. - Collaborate with operational and project delivery teams to develop practical and cost-effective solutions. - Produce accurate take-offs, cost plans and tender pricing schedules. - Prepare and issue subcontractor enquiry packages and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations. - Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and contract documentation. - Work closely with Health & Safety and operational teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. - Liaise with engineering and technical specialists regarding temporary works, structural solutions and design requirements. - Participate in tender review meetings and support the bid governance process. - Compile complete tender submissions, including pric
