We're currently looking for an experienced Groundworker to join our team covering Leeds and Wakefield. About the Role As a Groundworker, you'll be responsible for delivering a wide range of external repairs and maintenance works within a social housing environment. Working across multiple properties and projects, you'll undertake groundworks activities including drainage, concreting, paving, kerbing, resurfacing, trench excavation, foundation preparation, and minor external repairs. You'll also be responsible for monitoring external areas, identifying defects, and carrying out repair works to ensure properties and surrounding environments remain safe and well maintained. The role involves operating and maintaining a variety of tools, machinery, and ground maintenance equipment, ensuring all materials, plant, and equipment are available before work begins. You'll use a mobile device to receive and complete work orders, record completed works, and capture site photographs. Working to agreed timescales, you'll ensure all tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard while delivering excellent customer service throughout. Health and safety is a key part of the role, and you'll be expected to ensure appropriate PPE, RAMS, certifications, and relevant site information are in place before work commences, helping to maintain a safe environment for residents, colleagues, and the wider public.
