Make a difference in Scotland's Gypsy/Traveller communitiesMECOPP (Minority Ethnic Carers of People Project) is Scotland's leading Black and Minority Ethnic carers' organisation. We work to reduce inequalities, improve access to culturally responsive services, and support some of the most marginalised communities across Scotland.Thanks to funding from the Scottish Government's Gambling Levy, we have established our new Better Wellbeing Service, designed to address gambling harms, improve wellbeing, and strengthen support for Gypsy/Traveller individuals, families and communities.We are seeking an experienced and motivated Development Worker to join MECOPP’s Gypsy/Traveller Team and support our work to reduce gambling-related harms within Scotland’s Gypsy/Traveller community.The postholder will work as part of MECOPP’s Gambling Harms Team, developing community-based support, awareness raising, and partnership activity to improve wellbeing, reduce health inequalities, and strengthen access to appropriate support.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong development skills, experience of community engagement, and a commitment to equality, inclusion, and improving outcomes for Gypsy/Traveller communities.
