Who we need We are looking for someone to join our Apprenticeships Team at Nottingham College. We want someone who is passionate about working with young people and ensuring that our students receive the best possible experience. Hours of work are usually Monday to Friday 9am – 4.30pm. There is also the requirement to support our residential provision for our apprentices which requires you to oversee our apprentices at one of two Nottingham-based hotels, whilst they are attending their courses at our Ruddington campus. Residentials run from Sunday – Thurs 3pm – 11pm several times a year. The successful candidate will work alongside the current Wellbeing Coordinator and support the Head of Student Experience for Apprenticeships and the wider Apprenticeship Support Hub team, to develop and deliver an effective Wellbeing and Enrichment programme to enhance the student experience. They will also support the Apprentices at the residential setting which provides a chance to obtain feedback on their experience and help create positive changes at Nottingham College. Key duties of the role include: Champion a customer first approach with students, teams and colleagues to continually improve the delivery of wellbeing services. Translate customer feedback into actionable improvements and maintain appropriate records, including evaluation from all activities, for monitoring purposes. To act as the first point of contact for any safeguarding concerns, providing timely, relevant support and advice in order to safeguard the student. Support the running of the cross-College Safeguarding Network, to share best practice and continually improve the College’s approach to safeguarding. Essential skills & experience include: Highly effective organisation and prioritisation skills Experience of carrying out a safeguarding role to include dealing with a range of issues such as abuse, neglect, radicalisation, CSE Have a good, sound working knowledge of current safeguarding legislation, statutory and other related guidance.
