Your new company A leading health and social care organisation is seeking an Administrator to join its Lewisham-based service. The organisation is committed to delivering person-centred support and creating positive outcomes for service users through an empowering and community-focused approach. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of essential services and ensuring high standards of administrative support. Your new role As Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to a busy service team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations. Acting as the first point of contact, you will handle telephone enquiries, welcome visitors, manage correspondence, perform data entry, maintain accurate records, and provide minute-taking support for meetings. You will also be responsible for collating and reporting data, maintaining filing systems, monitoring stationery supplies, managing petty cash, coordinating room bookings, and carrying out general office administration duties. The role will involve supporting communication across the service, assisting with record-keeping requirements, and undertaking prescription administration duties where required. This is a varied position requiring strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a professional and welcoming service to colleagues, service users, and external stakeholders. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will have previous administrative experience and a good understanding of general office procedures. You will be IT literate with strong word processing and data entry skills, alongside excellent organisational abilities and sound numerical skills. You will be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, remain calm under pressure, and adapt flexibly to changing priorities. You will also demonstrate a professional, empathetic, and non-judgemental approach, maintain confidentiality at all times, and be committed to supporting positive outcomes for service users. Experience in office administration qualifications or related training would be beneficial but is not essential.
