Agency Temporary Kitchen / Catering Assistants Required Care Homes Across Edinburgh We are currently recruiting reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen/Catering Assistants to join our agency team supporting care homes throughout Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking flexible work while helping to provide nutritious meals and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within busy care home kitchens. The Role As a Kitchen/Catering Assistant, your duties may include: Assisting with food preparation and meal service Serving meals and refreshments to residents Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment Maintaining high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene Following food safety, infection control, and health & safety procedures Supporting cooks and catering teams with daily kitchen operations Requirements To be considered for this role, candidates must: Be able to successfully pass a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) check Be reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Be willing to work flexible shifts across 7 days per week Be available for shifts starting as early as 7:30am and finishing as late as 6:30pm Previous catering, kitchen, or food service experience is desirable but not essential Hold a Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred but not essential) What We Offer £12.75 per hour Weekly pay Holiday pay accrual Flexible temporary agency shifts Opportunities to work in a variety of care home settings across Edinburgh If you have a positive attitude, enjoy working in a kitchen environment, and are looking for flexible agency work, we'd love to hear from you.
