Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative Location: Bedford & Surrounding Areas Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Sector: Social Housing Company Van & Fuel Card Provided Experienced Plumber / Multi-Trader Looking for a Permanent Role? We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to join an established repairs and maintenance team, carrying out responsive repairs across social housing properties in Bedford and the surrounding areas . This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled plumber who has strong multi-trade abilities and is looking for long-term security, a permanent contract and a competitive salary of up to £38,000 . The role offers a varied workload, with the majority of work being carried out within occupied residents' homes , alongside work on void properties. You'll have the opportunity to use your plumbing skills every day while also completing a range of general maintenance and multi-trade repairs. The Role As a Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative, you will be responsible for attending residents' properties and completing responsive repairs and maintenance , diagnosing issues and carrying out high-quality repairs wherever possible. Day-to-day duties will include: Carrying out responsive plumbing repairs and maintenance across social housing properties Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently, safely and to a high standard Completing general multi-trade works including basic carpentry, patch plastering, tiling and minor building repairs Carrying out repairs within occupied properties , working respectfully around residents and their belongings Undertaking repairs within void properties , helping prepare homes for re-let Completing kitchen and bathroom repairs and maintenance Carrying out remedial works and making good following repairs Using handheld PDA/job-management systems to receive, update and complete jobs Identifying additional works and rep
