Job Description
Are you a technical construction professional with 3+ years' experience and strong expertise in flat roofing, cladding, fixings and fastenings ? We're looking for a Technical Support Engineer to become a key Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the business. You'll be the person colleagues and customers turn to for technical advice, helping to solve problems, support product applications and ensure the highest level of technical service. This is a varied role where you'll combine your technical knowledge with customer support, product testing, site investigations and designing and delivering technical training . You'll need a strong learning mentality and a genuine passion for developing your knowledge. You'll stay up to date with industry developments, products and applications, continually looking for ways to improve both your own expertise and the technical capability of those around you. What You'll Be Doing: Acting as the Subject Matter Expert across flat roofing, cladding, fixings and fastenings . Providing technical advice and support to customers via phone and email. Supporting Customer Services, Sales, Specification teams and Regional Product Managers with technical queries. Advising on product selection, application and installation. Investigating technical issues and product complaints, including site visits where required. Assisting with practical product testing and technical reporting. Designing, developing and delivering technical training for customers and internal teams. Delivering product demonstrations and training across flat roofing, cladding, subframes, fixings, fastenings and fall protection. Keeping technical knowledge and training materials up to date. Staying informed about industry trends, new products, technologies and applications. Contributing to the development of the technical library and eCommerce platform. Supporting improvements to technical processes, systems and customer service. Working collaborative
