Part-Time Housekeeper – Private Family Home, Ham, Richmond Circa £25+ gross per hour | 24 hours/week | PAYE or Self-Employed considered | ASAP start A professional family in Ham, Richmond is looking for an experienced, reliable housekeeper to join their household on a long-term, part-time basis. Discretion and professionalism are essential — this is a private family home, and the right candidate will understand the importance of confidentiality and respecting the family's privacy. The role: Three days a week — Monday, Wednesday and Friday preferred, though the family is flexible on exact days as long as they're non-consecutive, to help keep the home consistently maintained throughout the week. Hours are 10.30am–6.30pm (24 hours total per week), with some flexibility available if needed by the applicant. Duties include: General upkeep and cleaning of the family home, Family laundry, ironing and wardrobe management Preparing a simple, home-cooked evening meal for the family. Menu planning for the week ahead Occasional errands/light shopping Ensuring the house is tidy and organised at the end of each day. About the family: A friendly household with two children (no childcare involved in this role). They enjoy a varied diet with dishes from around the world, with a particular love of Asian cuisine, so confidence cooking a range of simple, tasty meals is important. No pets in the home. What they're looking for: Previous experience as a housekeeper in a private household is essential Highly discreet and professional, Confident, capable cook who can prepare a simple family meal from scratch Conversational English, with the ability to communicate clearly with the family Someone who can manage their workload and takes pride in a well-run home Good attention to detail. Responsible and loyal. This is a long-term position paying market rate (£25 gross per hour and above, depending on experience), with a contract provided. Open to candidates on PAYE or self-employed.
