Job Description

Laboratory Technician (2 posts) (840393), The post holder will support Institute teaching activities, working as part of a technical team. Duties will include general
maintenance and setting up of equipment, preparing chemical and biological solutions, tissue dissection and assisting students
in locating materials or equipment that they may require during classes.,

Salary: £26,093 - £27,319

FTE: 1 FTE & 0.75 FTE (term time)

Contract Type: Open Contract

The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS) is a leading centre for centre for research and training, focused on the discovery, development and delivery of better medicines. We deliver a wide range of accredited undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes to over 1800 students and undertake world-class research with real world impact. 

The Institute seeks to appoint a grade 4 technician with relevant experience of working in Biology and/or Chemistry laboratories and who can provide technical support to our teaching. Candidates will have a Science based education to HNC, Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent level.    Applicants may use tools such as AI to support their application; however, all submissions must accurately reflect their own experience and understanding.
