Maintenance Operative Social Housing Maintenance Luton 18.00 - 22.00 per hour Ongoing Contract Immediate Start Available We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join a leading social housing maintenance team covering properties across Luton and the surrounding areas.This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term, ongoing work with a reputable contractor delivering essential repairs and maintenance services to housing association and local authority housing stock. The Role As a Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of property maintenance and repair works within occupied and void social housing properties. You will ensure repairs are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard while providing excellent customer service to residents. Key Responsibilities Carry out reactive and planned maintenance works Complete basic carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating repairs Undertake minor patch plastering and making-good works Replace fixtures, fittings, locks, hinges and door furniture Conduct routine property inspections and identify repair requirements Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations Requirements Previous experience as a Maintenance Operative, Handyman, Multi Trader or Multi Skilled Operative Experience working within social housing, housing maintenance, local authority or property services environments Good all-round maintenance skills across multiple trades Full UK Driving Licence Own tools preferred What's on Offer? 22.00 - 24.00 per hour Ongoing contract Weekly pay Full-time working hours Immediate start available Apply Today If you're an experienced Maintenance Operative looking for your next long-term contract in Luton, we'd like to hear from you.
