Domestic Gas & Technical Engineer - Housing Association Location: London and surrounding areas Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: GBP40,000-GBP48,000 per annum, depending on experience and technical capability Working Hours: Summer: 08:00-17:00 Winter: 08:00-18:00, with a 1-hour unpaid lunch Benefits: Company van and fuel card, uniform/PPE, PDA/mobile equipment, pension, training and certification renewal support About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Domestic Gas & Technical Engineer to join a busy Housing Association team, delivering high-quality gas, heating and hot-water services across occupied homes, void properties and residential environments throughout London and the surrounding areas. This is a varied field-based role combining responsive repairs, planned servicing, gas safety compliance, fault finding, installation and replacement work, alongside more complex technical diagnosis and support. Key Responsibilities: Service, maintain, diagnose and repair domestic boilers, water heaters, heating systems and associated plumbing components. Work on combi, system and heat-only boilers, cylinders, pumps, valves, radiators, controls, expansion vessels and pipework, including vented and unvented hot-water systems within competence. Carry out responsive breakdowns, planned servicing, preventative maintenance, installations, replacements, upgrades, commissioning and recommissioning. Complete CP12/Landlord Gas Safety Records and required gas-safety checks within qualification and registration scope. Take ownership of complex, repeat and intermittent heating and hot-water faults, using structured, evidence-led diagnostics and identifying root causes. Diagnose across the complete heating system, including boilers, controls, wiring, pumps, valves, cylinders, sensors, thermostats, expansion, circulation and system condition.
