Responsibilities of our Van Driver: The Superstore Van Driver plays a key role in supporting the success of the Superstore by ensuring the safe, efficient and timely collection, delivery and movement of stock across the Cats Protection retail network. This includes transporting donated and purchased goods, furniture, electrical items and other bulky stock between customers, donors and stores. About the retail team: Our retail operation consists of over 80 charity shops Each of our shops has its own charm and personality due to our dedicated volunteers and colleagues. From vintage jewelry and jigsaws to harps and handbags, whether our customers are looking for that 'must have' item or simply a 'missing piece'. What we’re looking for in our Van Driver: Previous experience of driving a commercial vehicle (manual), driving in variable conditions and using Satellite Navigation equipment Experience of handling furniture, bulky items or retail stock and following manual handling guidelines Physically able to safely lift and move large donations in accordance with manual handling procedures and health and safety guidance. Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple collections and deliveries efficiently.
