We are seeking a Mechanical Supervisor to act as the primary technical authority for all mechanical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems across a high-profile corporate estate. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this role is ideal for a hands-on mechanical expert who excels at technical diagnostics, subcontractor oversight, and statutory compliance management without the burden of line-managing direct reports. Key Responsibilities 1. Technical Operations & Maintenance Governance Mechanical Systems Ownership: Act as the lead mechanical competent person on-site, overseeing the operation and maintenance of business-critical HVAC plant, centralized chillers, VRF/VRV systems, Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Coil Units (FCUs), LTHW boilers, pumps, and water services. F-Gas Governance: Take full accountability for F-Gas compliance across all refrigeration and cooling assets, ensuring logbooks, leak checks, and refrigerant recovery registers are kept 100% accurate and audit-ready. Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and oversee specialist supply chain partners for hard services, annual maintenance, statutory inspections, and reactive call-outs. Inspect work quality and verify completion against scope. Overtime & Call-Out Support: Participate in planned out-of-hours maintenance, building shutdowns, and reactive call-outs as required (generous overtime rates available). 2
