Penair School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and adaptable Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming and supportive Inclusion Team. Salary £24,796 full time E1 - actual £21,232.81 TT+5 Pro rata with FTE of 0.8563. This will be subject to any support staff pay award from Sept if agreed. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and students to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every pupil can succeed. You will play a key role in supporting learning, encouraging independence, and promoting students' social and emotional wellbeing. Key Responsibilities Deliver planned learning activities and intervention programmes, adapting support to meet individual pupil needs. Work alongside teachers to plan, review and evaluate learning activities. Support the monitoring, assessment and recording of student progress. Provide constructive feedback to students to encourage achievement and confidence. Prepare and organise learning resources to enhance classroom activities. Promote positive behaviour and support students' social and emotional development. Liaise appropriately with colleagues, parents, carers and external agencies to support student success. Champion inclusion and help all students access learning and participate fully in school life. Encourage resilience, independence and a love of learning.
