Job Title: Live-Out Nanny/Family Manager Location: Wickham Bishops, Essex Salary: Please present salary expectations Start Date: Early October 2026 Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–7:00pm, with a portion of the middle of the day off to be agreed (approx. 42–48 working hours per week) Overview A warm and welcoming family in Wickham Bishops, Essex, is seeking an experienced, organised and proactive Nanny/Family Manager to become an integral part of their home. This is a varied role combining childcare and household management. The three children, aged 9, 6 and 4, will all be in full-time school from September, allowing the successful candidate to take responsibility for both their care and the smooth running of family life. The ideal candidate will be nurturing, engaging and highly organised, with a genuine passion for supporting children's development and independence. Alongside childcare, responsibilities will include household administration, coordinating maintenance and contractors at a large listed property with extensive grounds, and working alongside the existing household team. The household is fully staffed with a Housekeeper, Gardener, Grounds Staff and Dog Walker, and the successful candidate will coordinate and liaise with the team to ensure the home runs efficiently. This is a role offering autonomy, variety and long-term stability. Duties Include Taking responsibility for the children's daily routines, including breakfast, school preparation, drop-offs and collections. Managing after-school clubs, activities, appointments and school communications. Preparing healthy, home-cooked children's meals, including batch-cooking and meal planning. Supporting evening routines, including homework and bedtime. Maintaining children's bedrooms, belongings, laundry and wardrobes. Managing school uniforms, equipment and other school-related requirements. Encouraging the children's interests, curiosity and positive attitude towards learning. Arranging medical and dental appointments when required. Planning school holiday activities and engaging experiences. Managing children's birthdays, gifts and cards. Managing the family calendar and diary, including passports, insurance and recurring administration. Arranging and overseeing household maintenance and liaising with tradespeople and contractors. Managing vehicle servicing, MOTs and related appointments. Working closely with the Housekeeper, Gardener and wider household team. Managing household supplies and online food shopping. Assisting with laundry when required. Batch-cooking and preparing healthy meals for the wider household as needed. Supporting with guest preparation and ensuring the household runs smoothly during visits. Candidate Requirements Experienced Nanny or Family Manager with a strong background in both childcare and household management. Warm, nurturing and genuinely passionate about children's development.
