Housekeeper

A wonderful family known to the agency, based in Bath, is looking for a live-out Housekeeper to join their household two days per week. This is a hands-on, varied role covering cooking, small household errands, laundry, and general organisation for a busy family home -- ideal for someone who enjoys running a smooth, well-organised household without deep cleaning, since a separate cleaning team already covers that weekly. The house is considerably larger than a typical London property, giving plenty of space to manage. The children's father works in London two nights a week, and their mother occasionally travels to London for the day, which is when school pick-up support is most likely to be needed. The family is looking for someone reliable and organised who can bring structure to meals, laundry, and day-to-day household admin, freeing up the parents' time around their own busy schedules. Key Responsibilities: - Cooking and batch cooking for the family, including planning and organising a weekly menu - Food shopping and household provisioning - Ironing and laundry - Tidying and organising wardrobes (the house has a separate cleaning team for deep cleaning, so this role is focused on organisation rather than heavy cleaning) - General household admin and chores - Running errands, such as post office trips - Occasional school pick-up (school is 5 minutes from the house; pick-up is needed particularly on days when the children's mother is in London for the day and unable to collect them -- school finishes between 4pm and 5pm) - Preparing and giving the girls their dinner on days worked Ideal Candidate: - Confident, capable cook -- comfortable batch cooking and planning a family menu - Highly organised, with strong attention to household admin and detail - Reliable and flexible, particularly around occasional school pick-up needs - Comfortable working independently within a larger family home - Happy to take on some animal care responsibilities in around 6 months' time, once the family's Labrador puppy arrives - Local to Bath strongly preferred Key Details ? Location — Bath, Somerset. Candidates who live locally to Bath are strongly preferred, though this may be extended if a strong local candidate isn't found. ? Schedule — 2 days per week, 10:00am - 6:00pm. Either Monday & Wednesday, or Wednesday & Thursday (to be confirmed with the successful candidate). ? Salary — Circa £22 per hour, gross. ?
