Cleaning Supervisor Salary: SC2.4, starting on £13.05 per hour, pro rata Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 2.30pm–6.30pm Contract: Term time plus one week Reporting to: Caretaker & Business Manager We are seeking a reliable, proactive and hardworking Cleaning Supervisor to join our school team at Catshill Middle School and help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for pupils and staff. The successful candidate will supervise and support the cleaning team, including monitoring standards, providing guidance and ensuring staff have the resources they need. You will also undertake general cleaning duties across the school, including classrooms, corridors, toilets and communal areas, as well as deep cleaning and other tasks as required. Key responsibilities:  Supervise, support and motivate the cleaning team.  Carry out regular cleaning checks and audits and report any issues.  Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are available and maintained.  Undertake general and deep-cleaning duties to a high standard.  Maintain a safe, hygienic and secure school environment.  Report hazards, equipment faults and maintenance issues.  Follow health and safety, COSHH and safeguarding procedures.  Maintain good working relationships with school staff.  Undertake key-holding responsibilities and other reasonable duties as required. The Ideal Candidate Will Have:  Has experience of cleaning and/or supervising a cleaning team.  Takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness.  Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.  Has good communication and teamwork & Interpersonal skills.  Is willing to undertake relevant training, including COSHH, health and safety and safeguarding.  A warm, friendly approach and a passion for working with children  A proactive attitude and the ability to manage situations calmly and efficiently  Previous experience in a school or childcare setting (desirable but not essential).  A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
