Your new company A growing and well-established organisation is seeking a Financial / Management Accountant to join its finance team on a 14-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative environment where you will play a key role in supporting financial reporting, management accounting and stakeholder engagement across a varied portfolio of entities. Your new role Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for the preparation and delivery of a range of accounting and financial reporting activities. The role offers a broad mix of management, accounting, financial control and business partnering responsibilities. Key duties will include: Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts Producing balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations Maintaining accurate financial records and overseeing complex accounting transactions Supporting cash flow, treasury and liquidity reporting Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis Preparing information to support statutory accounts and year-end audits Working closely with external stakeholders including auditors, tax advisers and other professional service providers Responding to finance-related queries and providing excellent stakeholder support Supporting process improvements and finance projects to enhance efficiency and controls Assisting with the supervision and development of junior finance team members where required Ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies and financial reporting standards What you'll need to succeed Studying towards or qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA Previous experience in a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant or similar role Strong understanding of financial reporting and reconciliations Experience preparing management accounts and dealing with month-end processes Excellent Excel and Microsoft Office skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with a range of stakeholders Proactive and self-motivated approach with strong organisational skills What you'll get in return Hybrid working arrangement Exposure to a broad and varied finance role Collaborative and supportive team environment Opportunity to develop technical and commercial finance experience Competitive salary and benefits package What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
