This exciting three-month locum contract offers a full-time opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator to make a significant impact in substance misuse services. Working Monday to Friday from 09:00 am to 17:00 pm, you'll be at the forefront of helping individuals in Greenwich on their recovery journey. This role will see you engaging directly with those in need within a supportive and dynamic environment.

What you will do
- Manage a full caseload across opiate, alcohol and non-dependent substance misuse pathways, maintaining accurate and timely case records.
- Complete comprehensive assessments, recovery plans and reviews in line with national drug and alcohol treatment standards.
- Undertake risk assessments and risk management plans, including safeguarding adults and children where concerns are identified.
- Deliver evidence-based psychosocial interventions, motivational interviewing and relapse prevention support to individuals and groups.
- Provide duty coverage, responding to referrals, urgent presentations and service user enquiries within agreed service timescales.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Health and Social Care, Substance Misuse, Counselling or a related discipline.
- Training in Motivational Interviewing, Safeguarding or Recovery-Focused Practice is desirable.
Experience
- Experience managing a caseload within substance misuse, mental health, criminal justice, homelessness or related community services.
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including alcohol dependency, drug use, mental health concerns and social exclusion.
