As a Team Supervisor based in Barnsley, youll be responsible for: Assisting the Branch Manager with the day to day running and operations within the branch and take charge when they are not available Supervise and support colleagues, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to achieve targets and goals Serving customers on the trade counter, offering advice and product knowledge Develop the customer base, improve retention, satisfaction, product mix and range Identify and recommend ways to improve profits Building rapport with suppliers General warehouse duties including, goods in & out, picking and packing customer orders (this will involve manual handling heavy stock i.e., toilets, sinks, boilers and radiators) Ensure compliance with policies and procedures This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday between 07.00am - 5.00pm and Saturday on a rota basis 08.00am - 12.00pm. Previous experience within a plumbers' merchant, builders' merchant, or similar trade environment is preferable Experience supervising or leading a team with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members Positive and professional attitude with a Customer-focused approach Experience handling stock control and inventory management Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment Willingness to step up to run the branch in the Branch Managers absence and happy to carry out a diverse range of duties in the branch to ensure it runs smoothly Commercial awareness with a focus on sales growth Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic We look forward to receiving your application! #ACHS100
