Job Description
We’re looking for a creative and experienced Communications Officer to join our team and help strengthen SBRCC’s voice, reach and impact.You’ll lead the development and delivery of our communications, helping to raise awareness of sexual violence and our services, strengthen relationships with survivors, professionals, communities and partners, and showcase the difference our work makes. The role combines strategic communications with creative content, digital engagement, campaigns and media, with opportunities to explore how emerging technologies, including AI, can be used responsibly and ethically to strengthen our work.We’re looking for someone with:• Experience of developing and delivering communications across a range of channels• Experience of managing websites and social media and producing high-quality content for different audiences• An understanding of strategic communications, audience engagement and accessible, inclusive and trauma informed communications• Excellent communication, planning and relationship-building skills, with a creative approach to developing engaging contentWe offer:• A supportive workplace• Ongoing training and professional development• The opportunity to shape and develop SBRCC’s communications and increase the reach and impact of our workThe role is home-based, with occasional travel for meetings, events, training and other activities within the Scottish Borders and elsewhere in Scotland.Only women need apply under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
