Attendance Officer – Further Education 💰 Salary: Up to £24,413 per annum - dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience 🕒 Working Pattern : Full-time (37 hours per week) Part year (40 weeks per year) 📋 Contract: Fixed Term – 3 Years (June 2029) 📍 Location : We are looking to place an officer at our Sparsholt Campus in Winchester and also have a vacancy at our Andover Campus. Working closely with Progress Coaches, curriculum teams, wellbeing and safeguarding teams and MIS colleagues, you will use attendance data, early warning indicators and professional judgement to identify learners at risk of disengagement and contribute to the timely coordination of supportive interventions. You will be confident working with people and data, and will use data to identify patterns, you will produce clear reports and hold constructive conversations to help teams build a shared culture where attendance is everyone’s responsibility. What we are looking for : 📋 We are looking for someone who believes in high expectations, inclusive practice and practical support. You may already have experience in education, learner support, attendance, pastoral work, youth work or training, but most importantly you will bring curiosity, persistence and a commitment to improving outcomes. Your Skills: Excellent administrative and organisational skills. Communicates confidently and professionally with a range of stakeholders. Can handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. Have strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills. Able to prioritise and manage deadlines Highly organised and able to manage a varied workload Able to contribute positively to a wider team. Committed to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion. Passionate about supporting students and improving outcomes. Previous experience within an education setting, attendance monitoring, student services would be advantageous Experience and Qualifications: 📚 Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Strong IT skills, including data systems and reporting (e.g., registers/attendance platforms, spreadsheets). Experience of working with learners/young people/adults in an education or training environment. Ability to analyse and interpret attendance data and present insights clearly to different audiences. Commitment to supporting young people to achieve positive outcomes. Knowledge of FE compliance requirements related to participation and planned hours. Training/experience in trauma-informed practice, behaviour/attendance interventions, or student support. Knowledge of safeguarding processes and thresholds in a post-16 setting.
