Grade: Grade 3, £26,388 - £27,188 per annum, pro rata. Approximately £20,783 - £21,413 per annum (0.78758 FTE) About us and the role We are seeking to appoint a highly organised Administrative Assistant/Receptionist, based at Krishna Avanti Primary School, Leicester, to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a varied and important role at the heart of the school, acting as the first point of contact for pupils, parents and visitors and ensuring a warm, professional and welcoming experience at all times. You will combine front-of-house reception duties with a range of administrative and operational tasks that support the effective day-to-day running of the school, including basic reprographics such as photocopying and document preparation, alongside wider administrative support for staff and school activities. You will also play a key role in supporting school processes, events and communication, helping to maintain efficient systems and contribute to the wider organisation of the school. Provide a professional and welcoming reception service for pupils, parents, visitors and staff, ensuring effective communication in person and by telephone. Deliver comprehensive administrative support, including managing records, producing reports, handling correspondence, and completing complex data and forms for internal and external stakeholders. Support the organisation of school events, trips, training sessions and hospitality, ensuring smooth day-to-day operational delivery. Maintain and develop administrative systems, including ICT platforms, resource management, audits, and budget monitoring where required. Contribute to safeguarding, health and safety, and the wider ethos of the school, ensuring policies are followed and a safe, inclusive environment is maintained. What are we looking for? Experience of developing and maintaining administrative systems and procedures. High level of literacy and numeracy skills. Evidence of the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing. Effective use of ICT packages and other specialist equipment/resources.
