Hospitality Assistant
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Hospitality Assistant to help deliver an excellent food and dining service to residents, tenants, staff and visitors at The Fed.
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Location: Heathlands Village, Prestwich, Manchester
Hours: 18 hours per week (Sat 8am-7pm & Sun 11am-7.30pm), both days include a half an hour unpaid lunch break)
About the role
As Hospitality Assistant, you will help provide a welcoming, efficient and consistently high-quality meal service across The Fed's dining areas, including individual households, the main restaurant and central café.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you will:
Serve plated meals across dining areas
Prepare and serve hot and cold food and drinks in the coffee shop
Set and relay tables before, during and after service
Keep food service and kitchen areas clean and tidy
Rotate stock and check food dates
Maintain appropriate food temperature records
Support hospitality and catering requests
Follow food safety, health and safety, COSHH and HACCP procedures
Maintain Kashrut Laws relating to kosher food preparation, service, storage and cleaning
Help ensure Shabbos tables are maintained on Friday evenings and Saturday lunchtimes
You will work flexibly across hospitality service areas and help create a friendly and positive experience for everyone using the service.
About you
You will be calm, patient and approachable, with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail.
Previous hospitality experience would be beneficial, but just as important is a positive attitude and willingness to learn. You will be someone who takes pride in delivering excellent service and treats residents, tenants, colleagues and visitors with kindness, dignity and respect.
You will need to work well as part of a team, be reliable and flexible, and be comfortable undertaking the training required for the role.
