Our client is recruiting for an Estates Team Member to join a well-established and highly regarded independent school. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a friendly and supportive Estates team, helping to maintain an outstanding learning environment for pupils, staff and visitors. No two days are the same in this varied, hands-on role. From carrying out repairs and maintenance to supporting school events and ensuring the site is safe and secure, you'll play an important part in the day-to-day running of the school. The Role As part of the Estates team, your responsibilities will include: Carrying out general repairs and maintenance across the school site Maintaining fixtures, fittings, lighting and external areas Ensuring the school remains safe, secure, clean and well presented Opening and locking the school buildings as required Setting up classrooms, halls and facilities for school events and activities Supporting with swimming pool water testing and monitoring (training provided where required) Completing general porterage duties, including moving furniture and equipment Assisting with grounds maintenance, including leaf clearance, play area upkeep and external cleaning Driving the school's minibuses and other estates vehicles when required Carrying out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) following online training Supporting the wider Estates team with additional maintenance tasks across the school campus Shift Pattern The role operates on a three-week rotating shift pattern: Early: Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm Day: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Late: Monday-Friday, 10:30am-7:00pm Occasional evening and weekend work will be required to support school events such as Open Days and other key activities.
