Location: Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire & Essex (Multi-Site Role) Salary: Up to 30,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentHours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday The Opportunity We are recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative to join a facilities management team supporting a portfolio of secure commercial sites across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex. This is a mobile role covering several sites within a defined geographical area. You'll typically work at one location per day on a planned rota, carrying out a mix of planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and minor project works. A company van and fuel card are provided, with schedules and tasks issued in advance.This position is ideal for an experienced handyperson, maintenance operative or semi-skilled tradesperson looking for a varied role within a stable and professional environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks. Complete minor plumbing, building fabric and general repair works. Undertake painting, decorating and making-good activities. Conduct routine compliance duties including fire alarm testing and water hygiene tasks. Install fixtures and fittings such as notice boards and signage. Identify and report defects, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently. Maintain high standards of site presentation and safety. Accurately record completed work through PDA systems or paper-based records. Liaise professionally with site users, colleagues and subcontractors. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, maintenance person or building services environment. Practical skills across a variety of maintenance disciplines. The ability to work independently and manage your own workload. Strong communication and customer service skills.
