Are you an organised administrative professional with exceptional customer service skills and a strong eye for detail? We have an exciting opportunity in our Finance Department for a collaborative, proactive individual looking to use their skills to support our global university community. About the Role In this varied and dynamic role, you will provide essential support to the Insurance & Travel Team, delivering a robust service to stakeholders across the University. As an Insurance & Travel Administrator, you will be a key point of contact, offering advice and assistance on a wide range of insurance and travel-related queries. Working in a well-connected, supportive environment, you will: Manage Travel Systems: Monitor and process applications, obtain insurer quotes for special requirements, and collaborate with international working and expenses teams to manage high-risk travel. Handle Claims: Take ownership of diverse claim cases (travel, motor, computer, and boat claims), liaising confidently with insurers, loss adjusters, staff, and students from initial report to settlement. Maintain & Improve Systems: Keep critical insurance data up to date in line with the Insurance Act 2015 and suggest process improvements to streamline administrative tasks. About You You are a confident communicator who excels at building positive working relationships with diverse colleagues and external partners. You take initiative, know how to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, and can tailor advice clearly to your audience. To thrive in this role, you will bring: Proven administrative experience, ideally supporting a busy team. Outstanding customer service and communication skills. Strong IT literacy, including confidence with Google Suite, Word, and Excel. The ability to organise your own workload and plan activities independently. £25,249 to £26,707 per annum pro-rata with the potential to progress to £28,778 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution.
