Job Description: Personal Injury Paralegal – Hybrid Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 Department: Personal Injury Department Hours of employment: 9 am- 5:30 pm Monday to Friday + Benefits Primary Role: An opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a busy Personal Injury team at a highly regarded law firm based in Stockport, dealing with Minor Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (MNIHL) claims. The position is full-time and hybrid, offering the opportunity to work from home two days per week following a qualifying period. This is a supportive role suited to someone looking to develop their experience within MNIHL and Personal Injury. The successful candidate will initially work closely with experienced fee earners, providing support with the progression and administration of claims, whilst gradually taking responsibility for their own caseload. JOB DESCRIPTION: Supporting fee earners with the day-to-day management of NIHL claims. Assisting with the progression of claims from initial instruction through to settlement. Managing an allocated caseload, ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and within required timescales. Liaising with clients, insurers, medical experts and other relevant parties. Obtaining and reviewing relevant documentation and medical evidence. Preparing correspondence and legal documentation. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records. Monitoring key dates and ensuring deadlines are met. Providing a high level of client care throughout the claims process. Working closely with experienced members of the team and seeking guidance where required. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Previous experience working in a legal environment, ideally within Personal Injury, Litigation or Occupational Disease. Good understanding of legal processes and procedures. Good organisational and time-management skills. Ability to manage and prioritise a caseload effectively. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication skills. Confident dealing with clients and third parties professionally. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Able to follow instructions and work to established processes. Good IT skills and confidence using case management systems. Willingness to learn and develop knowledge within NIHL and Personal Injury.
