A rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Part-Time (term time only) Medical Administrator to support a special school environment, focusing on the medical care and wellbeing of autistic children and young adults. Key responsibilities: Manage and oversee the administration of Individual Healthcare Plans and emergency procedures for pupils. Ensure secure storage, accurate records, and proper management of pupil medication, including checks and audits. Liaise with parents, medical professionals, and staff to review and maintain healthcare protocols and emergency procedures. Coordinate immunisations, health visits, and keep detailed records in line with school policies. Document and respond to medical emergencies, incident logs, and first aid reports promptly and accurately. Prepare and present monthly reports on medical incidents and pupil health trends to the School Management Team. Organise and monitor staff medical training, competencies, and first aid supplies, ensuring compliance with regulations. Support pupil transitions and liaise with transport providers and staff to ensure a smooth process. Provide general administrative support including diary management, communication distribution, and record keeping in line with confidentiality protocols. Assist with school events, meetings, and classroom coverage as required, including reception duties when necessary. Maintain accurate, confidential data records, ensuring GDPR compliance and best practice. About you: Previous experience in administration, ideally within a school, medical, or care setting. Strong IT skills, confident in using Microsoft Office applications and online data systems. Excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies. Highly organised with proactive, initiative-taking approach and strong attention to detail. A calm, professional manner, capable of functioning effectively in fast-paced or pressured environments. Discreet and respectful of confidentiality, with a commitment to safeguarding and data protection standards. Able to work independently and collaboratively, supporting a team-focused approach to daily tasks. What’s on offer: Term-time only working pattern, 27.5 hours per week, with daytime hours 9:30am to 3:30pm. Annual leave entitlement of 12.8 weeks (including bank holidays), with 5.6 weeks paid.
