is an opportunity to join a large and well-established social housing
organisation with a strong focus on compliance, resident safety and community
wellbeing. Working within a specialist ASB and Legal team, you will play a key

Paralegal, you will manage a varied caseload of access injunction matters,
supporting the Housing and Asset Management teams in securing access to
residential properties where other avenues have been exhausted. You will act as
a claimant advocate, representing the organisation in court proceedings and
obtaining the necessary judicial remedies to ensure compliance with electrical
and gas safety legislation. Key
responsibilities will include: Managing
litigation matters relating to access injunctions and statutory compliance. Preparing and
drafting court documents, injunction applications, witness statements and
instructions to Counsel. Advocating in
court and attending hearings across the region. Managing complex
litigated claims, including Part 8 proceedings and N16A injunction
applications. Providing legally
sound advice and guidance to internal stakeholders. Ensuring all
litigation activities are undertaken in line with relevant legislation,
statutory requirements and CPR protocols. Liaising with
housing teams, external solicitors, barristers, courts and other stakeholders
to progress matters effectively. Contributing to
the organisation's risk management objectives by minimising financial, legal
and reputational exposure. Supporting
colleagues through training, advice and collaboration on legal and compliance
matters. What you'll need to succeed To be successful
in this role, you will have previous litigation experience, ideally gained
within social housing, local government or a similarly regulated environment.
You will be confident handling your own caseload, advocating in court and
working independently with minimal supervision. You will also
demonstrate: Experience acting
on behalf of either claimants or defendants in litigation matters. Knowledge of
access injunctions, possession proceedings, ASB litigation or related housing
litigation. Strong legal
drafting skills across court applications, witness statements and legal
correspondence. A sound
understanding of relevant housing, property and regulatory legislation. Excellent
advocacy, negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Strong
analytical, fact-finding and decision-making abilities. The ability to
build effective relationships with colleagues, legal representatives, the
judiciary and external organisations. Strong
organisational and time management skills. A degree, LPC,
CILEX qualification or equivalent legal qualification. A full UK driving
licence and access to a vehicle. Experience within
the social housing sector and familiarity with gas and electrical safety
compliance matters would be highly advantageous.
