Job Description

Your new company Hays Education has been approached by a number of schools before the summer break looking to employ Higher Level Teaching Assistants to start in September. Due to the high demand for this particular job role, we are looking to increase our available HTLA's ready for September. We work with a number of partnerships across Wigan and surrounding areas with these roles coming to Hays first – so you won't find these anywhere else. We can be flexible with your working needs, whether that be part-time or full-time, and also year groups. However, with year groups when working as a HLTA, it would be beneficial to be open to most year groups. Your new role This job role is to support class teachers who need to take time out of their days to plan and prepare lessons, as well as working on a 1:1 basis with pupils that are struggling/falling behind on their work. You may be expected to cover various classes in both KS1 and KS2, so you need to be flexible and experience across both key stages is desirable but not essential, as the school are looking for an individual that is willing to learn. As you will be working as a PPA cover teacher, all lessons will be pre-planned, but it will be full class cover. What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful in securing this position, you should hold a HLTA qualification or above and have full class cover experience. You should be enthusiastic, approachable and be able to hit the ground running. What you'll get in return This is a fantastic opportunity, working in an excellent school. You’ll receive: A competitive daily rate in addition to holiday pay Free CV consultation with a dedicated education consultant to support your career goals Access to the Hays App, where you can access your timesheets, holiday booking system, free training, well-being courses and a range of discounts and cash-back deals A dedicated Hays consultant What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
