Interim Research Project Accountant

Research Project Accountant Opportunity Hays are working with a leading higher education institution to recruit an experienced Research Project Accountant for an urgent interim contract. This role will suit an individual with previous experience supporting research programmes, grant-funded projects, or complex project accounting environments. Key Responsibilities Producing monthly WIP reporting across a portfolio of research projects Monitoring project performance against budgets and forecasts Supporting grant-funded and externally funded research programmes Preparing financial reports for stakeholders and project managers Analysing project costs, income and funding streams Supporting month-end reporting and project reconciliations Providing financial insight and business partnering support to project stakeholders What You'll Need Previous Research Project Accounting or Project Accounting experience is essential Strong understanding of project reporting and financial analysis Experience working with grant-funded projects Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong Excel and financial systems experience Previous university or higher education sector experience is highly desirable What's on Offer? £200-£300 per day DOE 6-month contract Hybrid working with only 20% onsite requirement for the right candidate Opportunity to support a varied portfolio of research projects Immediate requirement If you have research accounting experience and are available for a new interim contract, please get in touch today. #4819199 - Hayley John
