Job Description
A civil engineering and construction contractor is looking to appoint a part-time Health & Safety Assistant to support a major project in Conwy. This role will provide support to the Health & Safety function, ensuring project documentation, records and compliance activities are maintained effectively throughout the project lifecycle. The position would suit someone with previous experience in a Health & Safety Administration, Coordinator or Assistant role within the construction, civil engineering or infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will work closely with site management and operational teams to ensure health and safety documentation remains accurate, up to date and compliant. Key Responsibilities Maintaining health & safety records, registers and project documentation Assisting with site inductions and onboarding administration Managing training records and competency matrices Supporting the administration of RAMS, permits and site compliance documentation Recording and tracking accidents, incidents and near misses Assisting with internal audits, inspections and compliance checks Monitoring and closing out health & safety actions Providing administrative support to the wider project and site management teams Producing reports and compliance information as required Person Specification Essential Previous experience in a Health & Safety Administrator, Coordinator or Assistant role Experience working within construction, civil engineering or infrastructure environments Strong administration and organisational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Desirable NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification Experience maintaining compliance and audit documentation Additional Information Flexible working days and hours available Long-term project with an expected duration of approximately 12 months Hourly rate flexible depending on experience and qualifications Immediate start available #4819933 - Aaron Fothergill-Breen
